Oh my gosh this was SUCH a fun experience!! Fiction Beer Company in Parker, Colorado was celebrating their one year anniversary and planned a plethora of beer & bark activities for the occasion. As such, they invited me to set up a table displaying my dog portraiture services. If you know me at all, you’ll understand that this kind of thing (being social with strangers, lol) is a WAY outside of my comfort zone, but I’m happy (and surprised!) to report that I thoroughly enjoyed the day!!! 🥰

The event started with a .5K walk – yes, you read that right. 🤣 I positioned myself along the route and tried to take photos of all the good boys and girls as they went by me – I know I missed some, but I captured what I could between legs and furry bodies. All who managed to finish the great distance around the parking lot received a beer and a pup cup. 🍺👍🏻 I was able to see some old dog friends like Ruth, Lucy, and Trestle, and I met a bunch of new ones like Cheeto, Reilly, Sadie, Teddy, and Dora. It was a BLAST. 🐾

I'm totally blanking on this little one's name, but he was riding in style. 😭
Then it was back inside to man my table my table with my dear friend Anna, who offered to lend her support for the day. And I’m so thankful for that, because there were soooooooo many dogs scattered throughout the establishment, I simply couldn’t help myself… I left my table in Anna’s capable hands, grabbed my camera and roved, taking photos of the pooches and chatting with the owners.

Shenanigans. The post .5K pup-cups morphed into doggie-whippets. LOL. Frenchie Tundra was a big fan.
National Mill Dog Rescue was also on site, hosting a live dog adoption event. I know of at least two adoptions that happened while I was there!! 🥳🙌🏻
Cayenne was adopted by Grant.
Isabella the Miniature Pinscher was adopted by Jim & Heather, joining her new sister Bella. (That could get confusing! 🤪)
Event photography is not my forte, as I have pretty much zero experience with it, but I believe I was able to capture the comfort and joy that dogs feel when they are included in their guardians’ outings.
