Let's Talk Digitals (šŸŽ¶ Digitals)!

(Did anyone else immediately hear that in Olivia Newton-John’s voice? Just me? Well, let’s try again… Let’s talk digitals, digitals. Let’s get into digitals. Lemme hear your files talk!Ā šŸŽ¤šŸ˜‚šŸ˜ˆĀ Okay, I’ll stop now… but if you sang along, you’re my kind of people! 😘)

So you want digital files... If you’re anything like me, you love sharing photos online. Whether it’s a heart-melting puppy portrait or a hilarious doggy blooper, social media is a fantastic way to celebrate our four-legged best friends. So, I completely understand why so many of my clients ask about digital files!

But here’s the thing - when someone inquires about digital files, I always get curious about their intent. I ask, Why do you want them?Ā Nearly every time, the answer is simple: I want to share online!Ā And that’s a greatĀ answer! šŸ¤—

The Print vs. Digital Dilemma

While I absolutely appreciate the power of digital, I’m a print-focused photographer at heart. That means I carefully prepare every image for its final application - whether it’s a 5x7 desk print or a stunning 40x60ā€ statement piece. What many people don’t realize is that these are two completely different files!

A small print needs one type of sharpening, detail, and resolution, while a large-scale piece demands an entirely different approach to look its best. When I provide a high-resolution digital file, I have to prepare it as a sort of ā€œone-size-fits-allā€ version. And truthfully? That’s not the best way to ensure an image shines at anyĀ size. My goal is always to deliver the WOW!Ā factor, whether your artwork is held in your hands or displayed on your walls.

So, what’s the solution? Easy! I offer complimentary social media copiesĀ of every purchased image. That way, you can share your favorite dog portraits online while I take care of the printing - ensuring each piece is perfectly prepared for its intended use.

Let’s make sure your dog’s legacy isn’t just stored in the cloud – we’ll bring it to life with beautiful, lasting artwork. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure you have the perfect version to share online, too! šŸ“ø

Gonna be singing this digitals song in my head all day! I totally agree though -- I love digitals for sharing online but there is nothing quite like seeing real-life artwork of your pet!
