Paws & Reflect

It’s June, and that means the spotlight is on our beloved four-legged companions more than ever. This month is bursting with opportunities to celebrate, support, and spend time with animals; whether they share your home, your heart, or your camera roll.

From Adopt-a-Cat Month to Foster a Pet Month, and from Pet Preparedness Month to National Zoo & Aquarium Month, June is a reminder of how animals enrich our lives, and how we can show up for them in return. It’s a chance to open your heart to a new furry friend, volunteer at a shelter, double-check your pet’s emergency plan, or simply paws and reflect on the quiet comfort of your own loyal companion.

As someone who spends a lot of time behind the camera capturing soulful eyes, goofy grins, and tails mid-wag, I know firsthand how special our four-legged friends are. They’re family, therapists, comedians, and trail buddies… sometimes all in one day. And they deserve to be celebrated. 🥳

So this month, I encourage you to do something intentional for the animals in your life. Support your local rescue. Share adoptable pets on social media. Stock your pet’s go-bag with fresh supplies. Or, of course, schedule a photo session to freeze this season of life in a frame you’ll treasure forever.

No matter how you choose to honor them, June is for the animals. Let’s make it count.
