Pick of the Pack!

Pick of the Pack – Choosing Wall-Worthy Photos of Your Dog

Tips for Picking the Perfect Images to Display in Your Home

If you’ve ever fallen in love with all the photos from your dog’s photo session (and let’s be honest, how could you not?), you’re not alone. Narrowing down your favorites for wall art can feel like trying to pick a favorite snack - impossible and mildly stressful. But I promise it doesn’t have to be!

Here are a few tips to help you choose images that will make your heart smile every time you walk by them on the wall.

1. Go With Your Gut

When you see the one - you’ll feel it. It’s the image that makes you gasp or tear up, or the one you keep going back to. Don’t overthink it. That emotional connection is what turns a photo into art.

2. Think About Your Space

Consider where the image will live. A close-up, soulful portrait might be perfect for the bedroom, while a wide, scenic shot could anchor a living room wall. Horizontal images often look great over furniture like sofas and beds, while verticals can shine in narrower spaces like entryways.

3. Match the Mood

Choose images that reflect the energy you want in the space. Want something calming and serene? Go for a peaceful pose in soft light. Want something playful and joyful? A zoomie moment or tongue-out grin might be perfect.

4. Celebrate Their Personality

Pick images that feel like your dog. Maybe it's the one with the head tilt they give when they hear the treat jar, or that confident stance they strike when they’re surveying their kingdom. Your wall art should tell their story.

5. Don’t Be Afraid to Mix It Up

Can’t choose just one? Gallery walls are a fabulous way to showcase a variety of moments - expressions, angles, even seasons. A mix of close-ups, action shots, and scenic portraits can give a more complete picture of your dog’s personality.

6. And Lastly, Ask for Help

Sometimes, a set of expert eyes (mine!) can help narrow things down. I’m always happy to help you choose the images that work best for your home and your heart. 😍
